Introduction

You all may have heard of many careers but gaming as a career is a rare glimpse. Ankit Panth is 31 years old professional e-sports player, influencer and a fitness enthusiast. With more than 100k subscribers on YouTube he is a voice of many youths. His success story is a complete package of hard work and passion.



History

Ankit Panth also known as ‘venom’ in the Indian gaming community was born in a middle-class family in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He was brought up in Mumbai where he spent his most of the teenage years in front of the screen mastering the skills required for gaming. Playing for a while he realized that he could represent India through this and sooner he decided to make gaming his profession. He had to face many struggles as gaming was very expensive in India as compared with other countries. Also, the Indian society never took or considered esports as a career. In the beginning his parents were not happy but soon they understood his passion and dedication towards the gaming industry. 


He won his first major trophy in 2008 with a player owned team called ‘brutality’. Grinding day and night he became very popular in the gaming community. Soon Ankit and his team were very dominant in the country.





As years passed gaming became quite popular in India and companies started investing in the community. Also, Ankit and his team got the opportunity to represent India in Dubai. This was a very proud moment for the country as India was not widely considered to be e-sports scenic country.

There were many misconceptions about gaming in India like gamers aren’t fit, they have spectacles, they smoke and drink, they abuse a lot and many more. But Ankit stood against these allegations. He never abuses someone nor he smokes and also, he is a fitness enthusiast. These were the qualities which made him different than other gamers and therefore many brands approached him. He is currently red bull’s e-sports athlete which is a huge thing. Not only this but he is sponsored by intel, dell Alienware and corsair. Through these brands he has earned a lot of respect and money.
